Breweries with a Sunday afternoon

  • Off The Tracks Brewing, 502 Cherry Road, No. 106, 803-326-6882. Beer brewed on site and brick-oven pizza, with fire pits, Adirondack chairs and live music on the calendar; “dogs welcome, kids welcome,” its site says. Sundays 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • Slow Play Brewing, 274 Columbia Ave., Suite 101. Noon to 7 p.m. Sundays, according to its site. Visit York County says the patio has shade, yard games and a “pup cup” for dogs.

Outings

  • Disc golf. Fewell Park, 1204 Alexander Road, has a disc golf course alongside its 0.7-mile wooded creek trail, the city says. Winthrop University’s courses around Winthrop Lake host the U.S. Disc Golf Championship every October, according to Visit York County.
  • Fishing. Rock Hill Lake Park, 4037 India Hook Road, has five fishing stations on a cove of Lake Wylie and a kayak launch. Free, dawn to dusk.
  • Cycling and BMX. The city’s cycling complex on Riverwalk Parkway includes the Rock Hill Velodrome, 1000 Riverwalk Parkway, and the BMX Supercross Track at 1307 Riverwalk Parkway. Open riding hours change by season; see the city’s regional parks list.
  • Mountain biking. About four miles of trails, from easy to most difficult, branch off the paved trail at Riverwalk, the city says. See our walking and biking trails guide.
  • A ballgame. Cherry Park, 1466 Cherry Road, hosts regional and national softball and baseball tournaments; the city charges no admission except for tournaments and events.
