Weekend brunch

The Flipside Restaurant, 129 Caldwell St., Old Town, 803-324-3547. Locally inspired comfort food, with shrimp and grits among the dishes it names on its restaurant page. Brunch runs 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday; lunch and dinner the rest of the week.

The Pump House, 575 Herrons Ferry Road, 803-329-8888. Five stories above the Catawba River at Riverwalk, with a Southern-inspired chophouse menu and a rooftop bar, according to its site, which posts a separate brunch menu. Hours are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, then dinner from 4 p.m.

Breakfast and brunch every day

Another Broken Egg Cafe, 502 Cherry Road, Suite 101, 803-262-2185. In The Perch near the corner of Cherry Road and Oakland Avenue, minutes from Winthrop University, with a full bar and brunch cocktails, its location page says. Open 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. weekdays and 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekends.

First Watch, 2320 Cherry Road. Breakfast, brunch and lunch from 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. every day, with an online waitlist and an outdoor patio, according to its Rock Hill page.

Amélie’s French Bakery and Cafe, 157 E. Main St., Old Town. Pastries and quiches “for brunch or lunch,” according to its Rock Hill page. Open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday to Thursday, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
