President Trump held his midterm rally Thursday, Oct. 29, at the Rock Hill Sports & Event Center on Technology Center Way. Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3.

President Donald Trump held a midterm election rally in Rock Hill on Thursday, Oct. 29, five days before Election Day.

Updated Nov. 1: the rally has taken place. This page now gives the venue the organizers announced and what is known about the day.

The rally was at the Rock Hill Sports & Event Center, 326 Technology Center Way. The venue is listed on the event’s registration page, which billed the event as “Midterm Rally in Rock Hill, South Carolina featuring President Donald J. Trump.”

The page set the schedule as doors open at 9 a.m. and remarks at 12:30 p.m. It said the event was paid for by the Trump 47 Committee Inc. and was “Not Authorized by any Candidate or Candidate’s Committee.”

What we could not confirm

Neither the city of Rock Hill nor the organizers had published an attendance figure, a traffic summary or a list of road closures for the day when we checked Sunday, Nov. 1. We will add official figures if the city or the venue releases them.

A change from past visits

Trump’s two earlier Rock Hill rallies were at Winthrop Coliseum. He spoke there during his 2016 campaign and again on Feb. 23, 2024, the eve of South Carolina’s Republican presidential primary, according to a Winthrop University news release. This year’s rally was held at the Sports & Event Center instead.
